Project khon kaen
Project Khon Kaen was a short-term mission trip run by HealthEx International in partnership with World Harvest Foundation. This project first started in 2011 and concluded in 2019, when on assessment the community had happily developed past requiring external medical aid, due to improvement of links with Thai healthcare systems.
Khon Kaen is in Northern Thailand, where despite being the 3rd largest city in the country, some urban communities such as the railway slums were still impoverished and underdeveloped.

Project Sre rebong
Project Sre Robong was a pioneer project of HealthEx International that works in partnership with Build Your Future Today (BFT), a Cambodian NGO founded in 2006 with a vision to build a better future for Cambodia's youth. We ran short-term mission trips providing education and medical aid to the neighbouring villages of Siem Reap, Cambodia, namely Sre Robong, Cham Resh, and Chub Smach Village.
This project was restructured and renamed Project Bottrong due to the switch in region of activity, as communities continued to develop past requiring international medical support.

The Nasi bungkus initiative
The Nasi Bungkus Initiative (TNBI) was started during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 to help the local community, partnering with Chef-In-Box by JR Foods to provide packed meals to disadvantaged families in the Jalan Besar area in Singapore.
Through our social media campaign, we aimed to raise awareness of marginalised groups in our community through infographics. Our campaign was a resounding success, reaching over 3000 accounts through our Instagram posts, garnering a lot of attention from the public. We were even featured in a youth.sg article. In addition, we ran a bake sale and managed to raise up to SGD $1000. Over one month, we managed to raise a total of SGD $10 808 which is equivalent to providing 2161 meals to the needy.

Why historical?
Here in HealthEx, we believe that communities should be supported to develop and empowered to take the reins. We carry out annual needs and impact assessments in considering each project for the next cycle. Our partner NGOs are key in monitoring long-term change and give us helpful input on whether communities still require external medical aid.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between the community and local healthcare systems, and it is a great joy when we are able to recognise improved access to healthcare locally. We are glad to then move our efforts elsewhere that needs our support.
