ABOUT US
a community of healthcare students and
professionals who are passionate about global health.
Healthcare Expeditions International (HealthEx) is a Singapore-registered society (UEN No. T09SS0176L) founded in 2009.
Our main aims are two-fold:
We do this through conducting short-term mission trips serving rural or marginalised communities in neighbouring countries, providing a platform for participants to learn about global health and community development, alongside leadership and mentorship opportunities.
We value humility in service and learning, taking into account the assets of each community we work with in supporting their long-term development.
To ensure sustainability in what we do, we work with local NGOs that maintain a close relationship with beneficiaries. We plug into their continuous support on an annual or bi-annual basis, providing medical aid and public health education for the local community.
Healthcare students and professionals participate on a voluntary basis.
Funding is self-contributed, or acquired through grants, donations and fundraising activities.
Our main aims are two-fold:
- Provide access to healthcare in communities that otherwise lack access
- Cultivate a new generation of healthcare leaders who serve the international community
