Access to quality healthcare, for everyone, everywhere.
HealthEx runs short-term mission trips serving rural or marginalised communities in neighbouring countries, provides a platform for participants to learn about global health and community development, alongside leadership and mentorship opportunities.
Healthcare Expeditions International (HealthEx) was founded in 2009 by Singaporean medical student Mark Tan while studying in the UK. HealthEx was created to provide overseas Singaporean healthcare students with opportunities to participate in healthcare mission trips during their summer breaks. Healthcare Expeditions International (HealthEx) is a Singapore-registered society (UEN No. T09SS0176L)
Since its inception, HealthEx has worked on projects in Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, and Singapore, partnering with local hospitals and community organisations.
Our current projects are based in Thailand (Project Phetchabun), the Philippines (Project Cebu), and Cambodia (Project Bottrong). Participation is voluntary for healthcare students and professionals, and funding is self-contributed or raised through grants, donations, and fundraising efforts.
